Software Engineer - Nicosia - Competitive Package
We are helping a payment system solution provider expand their software engineering team in Nicosia.
This role is focused on configuring and improving payment processing systems, understanding customer requirements, building high-quality and reliable software solutions, and troubleshooting technical issues. You will need to be an excellent problem-solver who gets enjoyment from working with payment processing technologies and meeting business goals for major customers.
This role is office-based in Nicosia with opportunities to work on comprehensive payment processing services including card issuing, clearing, authorization, and merchant acquiring.
Requirements
-Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, computer science or related field
-Experience with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL and/or other database technologies
-Good understanding of algorithms and software patterns
-Ability to think unconventionally to derive creative and innovative solutions
-Ability to communicate in English
-Adequate communication and problem-solving skills
-Experience with implementation testing, debugging, and documentation implementation is a plus
-Experience with cloud infrastructure, AWS in particular is a plus
-Experience with Web services or APIs is a plus
-Experience with Linux and Linux shell scripting is a plus
-Knowledge in C++, C# or Java programming languages is a plus
-Familiarity with card payments industry is a plus
