Senior Systems Engineer – Nicosia – Competitive Package
SMO Careers is hiring on behalf of a client in the IT solutions industry for a Systems Engineer to join their growing team.
This role focuses on analyzing business and technical requirements, designing system solutions, and supporting the implementation and improvement of software and IT systems across multiple projects. The successful candidate will work closely with developers, project managers, and stakeholders to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.
Responsibilities
-Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into system designs
-Design and support system integrations, data flows, and interactions across applications and infrastructure
-Collaborate with developers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business and technical needs
-Support system configuration, deployment, and maintenance across different environments
-Participate in system testing, validation, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
-Monitor system performance and identify areas for optimization
-Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis across applications, databases, and infrastructure
-Support incident resolution and maintain system stability in production environments
-Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives
-Prepare and maintain technical documentation including system architecture and configurations
-Ensure systems align with security, quality, and compliance standards
Requirements
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
-Proven experience in a Systems Engineer, Systems Analyst, or similar role
-Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and system implementation
-Experience with system analysis, requirements gathering, and solution design
-Good understanding of enterprise systems, infrastructure, and networking fundamentals
-Familiarity with web and application architecture, APIs, and system integrations
-Basic knowledge of databases and data management concepts
-Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across multiple system layers
-Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
-Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
-Familiarity with enterprise systems or business applications will be considered an advantage
