Tax Manager / Assistant Tax Manager

Role Overview
We are seeking a Tax Manager / Assistant Tax Manager to join the tax team of our client. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and managing tax compliance work, providing tax advisory services, and supporting complex tax projects for a diverse client portfolio.
This role involves close interaction with clients, tax authorities, and internal teams and requires strong technical tax knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to identify tax risks and opportunities in a fast-paced professional services environment.
Key Responsibilities
-Review tax compliance work for a wide portfolio of clients, including tax computations and tax position schedules
-Preparation and review of tax returns for individuals and companies
-Identification and presentation of direct tax opportunities and risks in line with tax legislation, common practice, and double tax treaties
-Handling tax enquiries and investigations
-Representation of clients in tax examinations and assistance with the closing of tax affairs during liquidations, strike-offs, and reorganisations
-Preparation and/or assistance with Transfer Pricing studies in accordance with applicable law and OECD Guidelines
-Preparation of tax ruling requests
-Preparation and submission of DAC-6 reports
Requirements
-University degree in Law, Taxation, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
-Qualified ACA or ACCA
-Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in a tax practice within an audit, advisory, or consulting firm
-ADIT or similar professional qualification will be considered an advantage
-Strong knowledge of Cyprus Tax Law
-Knowledge of EU tax directives and international tax developments
-Experience in Transfer Pricing and DAC-6
-VAT knowledge will be considered an advantage
-Excellent command of Greek and English, both written and verbal
-Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills
-Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills
-Strong IT skills
