Junior Dealer – Nicosia – Competitive Package
SMO Careers is hiring on behalf of a client for a Junior Dealer to join their team in Nicosia.
This role is focused on monitoring trading platform operations, managing risk exposure, reviewing trading activity, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the Dealing Desk. You will work closely with the Head of Dealing Desk while contributing to risk management, market monitoring, and ongoing operational projects.
This role is office-based in Nicosia and requires shift work, including rotational coverage on Cyprus public holidays.
Responsibilities
-Monitor the operation of trading platforms
-Keep up to date with market news
-Monitor company exposures and comment on risk
-Follow company dealing procedures
-Review client accounts and comment on trading activity
-Spot abusive trading behaviour
-Participate in new projects and report to the Head of Dealing Desk
-Prepare reports requested by the Head of Dealing Desk
-Manage risk
Requirements
-University degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Business, or another relevant field
-Fluency in English and Greek, both written and spoken
-Strong analytical skills
-Experience with analytical tools including Excel. Knowledge of SQL or any other programming language will be considered an advantage
-MT4/MT5 experience will be considered an advantage
-Previous experience will be considered an advantage
-Holder of the CySEC Advanced Certificate will be considered an advantage
-Ability to work on a shift basis, including rotational coverage on Cyprus public holidays
