Software Delivery Engineer – Nicosia – Competitive Package
We are hiring on behalf of a client in the technology and software solutions industry for a Software Delivery Engineer based in Nicosia, Cyprus.
This role focuses on delivering, deploying, and supporting mission-critical software solutions across multiple customer environments. The successful candidate will work at the intersection of software engineering, DevOps, and customer success, taking ownership of delivery processes, improving automation, and ensuring reliable software deployments.
Responsibilities
-Own and coordinate end-to-end delivery cycles, ensuring smooth and predictable releases
-Plan, manage, and execute solution deployments across multiple customer environments
-Implement and manage release processes for updates, patches, and new features
-Collaborate with engineering, QA, and customer teams to ensure successful delivery outcomes
-Ensure all deployments meet security, compliance, and operational standards
-Design and implement automation pipelines (CI/CD) to improve speed and reliability of delivery
-Enhance and maintain system monitoring, logging, and alerting tools
-Troubleshoot and resolve technical production issues, minimizing downtime and customer impact
-Provide technical support and guidance to customers, including participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation
-Create and maintain clear technical documentation, deployment guides, and troubleshooting procedures
Requirements
-Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
-Solid hands-on experience with Windows Server environments
-Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle)
-Strong understanding of networking fundamentals
-Experience working in technical delivery or systems engineering roles
-Excellent communication skills in Greek and English (written and verbal)
-24/7 support availability based on business needs
-Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
-Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
-Flexibility to occasionally work outside standard business hours
Additional Skills Considered an Advantage
-Familiarity with scripting and automation, especially PowerShell
-Knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices
-Exposure to monitoring tools
